Kito Reader · Privacy
Your document stays your document.
The short version
Kito Reader does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking. Documents are processed on your iPhone or iPad and are not uploaded to Kito Studio.
Documents and local data
Kito Reader opens the Markdown and HTML files you choose through iOS. It reads those files to display them and does not edit or save changes back to the original file.
The file may be stored by Apple or another storage provider you use, such as iCloud Drive. That provider handles the stored file under its own terms. Kito Studio cannot see your document or the location where you store it.
HTML safety
Kito Reader removes scripts, forms, embedded pages, automatic redirects, and other active content before displaying an HTML file. Document-provided JavaScript does not run.
Remote images
Images hosted on the internet are blocked by default. Kito Reader shows the image host and connects only after you choose to load that specific image.
When you load a remote image, the image host can receive the requested image URL, your IP address, and standard network request information. Kito Reader does not send the text of your document with that request. Downloads are restricted to HTTPS images and are subject to safety and size checks.
Links
Web links open in your system browser only after you tap them. The destination website may receive your IP address and other standard browser request information under its own privacy policy.
Support messages
If you contact Kito Studio, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device and app versions, screenshots, sample files, and a description of the issue.
We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the service, and improve Kito Reader. Please remove private information before sending a screenshot or sample document.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Kito Reader changes or when legal requirements change. The effective date shows the latest revision.
